Now this actress is having problems getting another series... because everybody sees her as Evelyn. Oh I see, no no. They want her to bring Evelyn back. Yeah. She can't get away from it. In fact the series could be called "Aren't you Evelyn?" Or "I'm Not Evelyn". Now this actress is having problems getting another series... because everybody sees her as Evelyn. Oh I see, no no. about

It's finally here! I started work on this EP back in 2017, but the process wasn't quick. Kyoto Good Luck is something I'm proud of as it feels like it's still the sound I love to make, but it's evolved a bit too, with tracks a bit out of my usual comfort zone. The photo was taken by myself in Kyoto at the Golden Pavillion, known as Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺). Around the area you can throw coins at statues for good luck.

"More Than a Consumer" is a 140bpm track that tempo-wise is a bit of a throwback to my first album, but features a real pulsating, driving bassline that evolves from two notes to five by the end of the track. It's all about sounding futuristic, and features me on the "vocals".

"Intergalactic Enthusiasm" is another throwback, but more in a referential sense, to my third album "Chord Your Enthusiasm", except this time I actually used quotes and samples from Curb Your Enthusiasm. Why it has intergalactic in the title is because the synths sound like they're in space.

"Vallila" is yet another throwback to my time in Finland, and I used a Finnish YouTuber's video to supply the vocal chops. This took ages to get the bass and drums correct. I love Finland!

"Beat the Devil Out Of It" features the legendary Bob Ross supplying the voice samples, using some of his iconic lines and ASMR-esque commentary. I went for a bit of a complicated chord progression in this one to flex a little bit. I love making progressions like that. It ends with a reference to clouds.

"Clouds" is the final track, and was made about 5 years later than the other tracks. Not a joke. I wanted to make an extra track for the EP and this came about when I was looking up Gigi Masin's track "Clouds" and what the chord progression was. And then the synths too. So it started out as a remix, but I think it's its own thing. I absolutely love the change-up in chords half way and then return to the original chords but pitched up to match Nujabes' version of the track (probably the more famous version).

Enjoy the EP! More music to come a lot quicker next time!

CrystalFissure Adelaide, Australia

Hello! I am a 27 year old living in Adelaide, Australia. I love music, but I'm quite particular. Maybe even snobby. Deep chords, melodies, weird synths and all that jazz is the kind of stuff I really appreciate.

I make Deep House music, but it extends past that and may even be difficult to classify each track as a specific genre. Boundaries are crossed. Regularly. I sincerely hope you enjoy.
